Now we will do an exercise where you lift your operated leg up and down. You need something to hold onto when you do this exercise, something that is secure. Put your weight on your non-operated leg and then raise your operated leg straight up and down again. Up and down again, then back next to the other one.

When lifting your knee, it is important that it goes straight ahead and down again. You must lift your knee as high as your knee and hip can manage. Lift it up and down at a calm speed and repeat ten times.

That was good. When you have done the repetitions you can manage with your operated leg, then you must also do the exercise with your non-operated leg. Try doing a couple repetitions with this leg.

Up and down. I know that you can do the exercise with this leg, but while you are training this leg, you are also training your operated leg by training your balance.

It can be difficult for your operated leg to have good balance, so it is your operated leg that still decides how many repetitions you do. When you can do ten repetitions, then expand the exercise to also do three times ten repetitions with this leg.
