How to apply eye drops

Applying eye drops can be tricky.
Always follow your doctor's instructions.
Try to make it a daily habit.
Always wash your hands before applying eye drops.
You can either stand or sit down when applying eye drops.
Choose what you find most comfortable.
Place some cotton pads in warm tap water.
Then wash your eyes with the wet part.
Hold the bottle a few centimetres above the eye.
and release a drop, avoiding touching the eye.
You can pull down the lower lid and release the drop there.
Blink a few times once the drop is in the eye.
There will always be excess drops running down your cheek.
Press the tear point on the nose to avoid the drop running into the throat.
You can always choose to lie down when need to apply eye drops if you find it easier.
Always remember to wash your hands before you start the procedure.
Lie down on a sofa or a bed...
if it feels more comfortable when applying the drops.

Another option is to let the dropper bottle lie on the back of the nose and let the drop drip into the eye.

Blink a couple of times, and wipe.
