Exercising can help to prevent and treat a number of illnesses such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease and certain forms of cancer.
The effects of exercising have also been examined in patients with chronic renal failure, and the research has shown that exercise in patients who are in dialysis treatment has also had positive effects on them.
The clearest effect of exercising is on the patient’s quality of life, but exercising can also help to maintain or improve the physical function level in patients.
For example, there are things that you can do in your daily life such as taking the stairs, cleaning, yard work, shopping and so on.
Exercising can also have other positive effects on other illnesses which one may have when one also has renal failure.
One can do physical exercise while being treated for dialysis or at other times.
Some people think that it is a good idea to exercise while being treated for dialysis, so that one does not need to spend so much time on exercise at other times.
Others feel like exercising when they are not in dialysis, since this provides greater physical freedom for movements and training exercises which one can do.
Regardless of where you choose to exercise, it is safe to exercise after instruction.
Like all other people who do not have renal failure, if you have chronic renal failure, you must avoid falling and getting injured while exercising.
